I was asked by my husband to make a cake for him to take to work so I saw it as a good opportunity to get some piping practice and to get a feel for some new food colouring gels I had bought.
As you can see, I was a little heavy handed with the gels. I had only ever used liquid food colours before and the two products vary greatly in colour strength.
